Shipping Container Depot Locations & Common Questions

Below you’ll find answers to common questions about our depot locations, inventory, and delivery processes.

  • How can I find a container near me?

We have inventory stored at 32 depot locations across the entire continental US.  Because of this extensive network, we likely have inventory stored near you, regardless of your location.  This helps minimize delivery mileage and overall costs.

  • What types of containers do you stock?

Our inventory varies by location, but most depots consistently carry our core products:

    • 20-foot standard height (8’6”)

    • 40-foot standard height (8’6”)

    • 40-foot High Cube (9’6”)

    • Conditions:  New (One-Way) and Used (Cargo Worthy or Wind/Water Tight)

Note:  Specialty options like Open-Side, Open-Top, Refrigerated, and 10-foot containers are available at select locations Please Contact Us to check availability.

  • Can I visit a depot location to inspect containers?

No, our depots are restricted to authorized personnel only.  These are active industrial facilities with heavy machinery and strict safety protocols and insurance liability regulations. These yards are not designed as retail centers for public browsing.

However, we offer a strict condition guarantee.  If you purchase a specific grade (e.g., Cargo Worthy), we guarantee the unit delivered meets those industry standards.

  • Do you deliver to my home or business?

Yes.  We provide professional delivery services to sites across the US using licensed and insured transport partners.  We offer two delivery methods:

    1.  Tilt-Bed (Roll-Off) Truck:  The standard option for most customers.  The truck slides the container gently onto the ground.

    2.  Flat-Bed Truck:  Typically used for long-distance hauls (150+ miles).  Requires you to have a forklift or crane on-site for offloading.

  • How much space do I need for delivery?

For a standard tilt-bed delivery, the truck needs significant straight-line clearance to pull out from under the container.

    • 20-foot containers:  ~ approximately 65 feet of straight, unobstructed space.
    • 40-foot containers:   ~130 feet of straight, unobstructed space.

Please ensure the path is free of overhead obstacles like power lines or tree branches.  You can download our Delivery Location Readiness Guide for a complete checklist.

  • How long does delivery take?

Delivery generally takes 4-5 business days from your order date.  Timelines may vary based on your specific location and current depot inventory.  We will provide a specific delivery date when you place your order

  • Are there additional charges for delivery from the depot?

Yes, delivery charges will be quoted transparently as a separate line-item on our quote.  Delivery charges depend on the distance from the depot to your location and the type of container being delivered. Contact us at 708-639-4992 for a detailed quote.

  • Can I pick up the container myself?

Yes.  You can arrange your own transportation from the depot.

    • We load you:  We lift the container onto your trailer at no extra cost.
    • Your trailer:  Must be a tilt-bed, flat-bed, or step-deck trailer meeting state highway requirements.
    • Securement:  You are legally responsible for securing the container to your trailer with chains or straps.

  • How are delivery charges calculated?

We believe in transparency.  Delivery fees are quoted as a separate line item based on:

    1. Distance from the depot to your site.
    2. Container size and type.
